Wilco, Welcome to my hall of fame

I went to a Wilco Concert yesterday. Truly one of today's great bands. A friend mentionned something about them being the american radioheads. I think it's the best way to describe their music. Their sound live is incredible. Check out these two cds from them : A ghost is born (latest) and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (a highly-conroversed one)... After this concert, they entered my personal hall of fame after lingering at the door, waiting for acceptance into this tiny circle of artists hehe ;)

My new Synth

This is my New Synthetizer ! I'm no exited I got it. It looks and sounds amazing. My room is turning into a music studio ;) It's a roland Juno-D (and cost me a fortune!)...

No Comeback Needed for Mrs. Kudrow : She's on fire !

Well this is her comeback ! and the show is just amazingly well written and acted and HBO has done it again ! It's just pure delight ! I advise you to watch it. By the way, it's from Michael Patrick King, the guy behind Sex and The City so it can't really go wrong.

It's a very interesting look behind-the-fuckin'-scenes of TV and how it's done. At the same time, it's a satire of reality TV and a striking look at how it is done.

Lisa Kudrow is not phoebe anymore and this is clear from the first minute of the show. She's definetly the best actress I've seen this year on TV. Watch out for the Emmys.

Batman Begins... I'm ok with it !

Well the new batman movie is sure very fresh ! I loved the fact that nothing was spectacular in it and it was just handled as an introduction. The directing is amazing and the actors are convincing. No cliches like the stupid spiderman movies. Wll the good stuff can't, unfortunatly, make up the lousy storyline that lacks punch. --> Better than the last two but not better than the first two

My Band

As you might know, I play in a rock Band. It's one of the best things i've done and I absolutely love it ! I'm the lead singer (yeah, I know how shocking that must be to those who know me) and I play keyboard. For now, we play covers of rock bands we like including The Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Interpol, The Strokes, Muse, Coldplay, Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Placebo etc...

Tori Tori Tori !

Tori Amos. Whenever I need inspiration, I turn to her. She's such a source of creativity. She's a musical genius ! Period.

You can't really classify her anywhere musically as she's spanned a lot of artistic avenues. My personal faves are her rock and electronic attempts on From the Choirgirl Hotel and To venus and Back. I truly shiver when I litsen to those records.

By the way, she's bliss live. She's currently touring Solo. I've seen one of her shows in boston and will go to the Montreal and Toronto Show later this summer.

I'd like to add that she's hot ! For those familiar with my rating scale, she has an 11/10.
PS: For those not familiar, you should know that redheads get an automatic 8/10 and then i add up points for beauty, charisma and sexyness ;)
